Touchscreens are currently the leading operating control systems. They convince by their simple handling, an interactive screen and a space saving format. When selecting a suitable touch display solution, priorities must be set according to the specific realities of the field of application. In the search for an ideal solution to match your needs we are happy to advice you personally.
The surface of a capacitive touchscreen consists of a specially coated glass, which means it is operated without exerting pressure on the touch display. The electric field created over the edges of the touch surface is equipped with its own charge, which is changed when the surface is touched. This facilitates evaluation of where the touch occurs.
The external surface of resistive touchscreens consists of a coated conductive foil, behind which is located a conductive glass or plastic disc. The two layers are separated by distance points. Pressure on the touchscreen ensures the conductive layers make contact at this location. An electric impulse is created, which communicates coordinates of the touch position.
The touchscreens can be individually printed with both ceramic and organic inks.
Touch panels come in all sorts of configurations. Diagonal lengths of 7.62 cm (3 inches) to 54.61 cm (21.5 inches) are currently the common sizes.
It goes without saying that combination of touch systems with membrane keyboards and short-stroke keyboards is possible.
Before using touchscreens for the first time, it is necessary to perform calibration, which we shall be happy to do for you.
